Germany’s industrial output up 0.2 percent in September from August

In September this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 0.2 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for August showed a decrease of 0.3 percent compared to July, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

As compared to August, in September this year production excluding energy and construction remained unchanged and the production of capital goods rose by 0.9 percent, while the output of consumer goods decreased by 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods was down by one percent and energy production fell by 3.3 percent, while the construction output increased by 2.2 percent, all month on month.
