Germany’s industrial output down 1.1 percent in June from May

In June this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.1 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for May showed an increase of 1.2 percent compared to April, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

As compared to May, in June this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 1.4 percent, while the production of capital goods fell by 1.9 percent and output of consumer goods narrowed 0.7 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods decreased by 1.2 percent, while energy production was up by 1.4 percent and construction output saw a fall of one percent, all month on month.
