In September this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.6 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for August showed an increase of 2.6 percent compared to July, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
As compared to August, in September this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 1.6 percent, while the production of capital goods fell by 2.7 percent and output of consumer goods narrowed 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods decreased by 0.8 percent, while energy production was down by 4.3 percent and construction output saw a rise of 0.4 percent, all month on month.
