German manufacturing output up slightly in Q3 over Q2

According to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, in September this year production in Germany's manufacturing industry was down 1.8 percent compared to the previous month, following a revised 0.4 percent decrease in August compared to July. However, in the third quarter of the year, German manufacturing output was 0.7 percent higher compared to the previous quarter.

In September this year, production in the country's construction sector increased by 2.7 percent compared to August and was up 2.4 percent year on year. On the other hand, the production of capital goods decreased by 3.5 percent, while intermediate goods fell by 2.2 percent in Germany, both compared to the previous month.
