German construction output up 6.7% in April from March

According to the preliminary data released by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, in April this year price, calendar and seasonally adjusted industrial production in Germany increased 1.8 percent compared to the previous month, following a revised 1.2 percent increase in March compared to February.

According to the ministry report, production increased by 6.7 percent in the construction sector in April, while capital goods manufacturers increased their production by four percent and the production of intermediate goods saw a slight contraction of 0.6 percent, all compared to the previous month.
