German steel prices decrease slightly in August from July

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in August this year prices of metals in Germany were higher by 6.6 percent as compared to the same month last year and were down 0.8 percent as compared to July this year, while rolled steel prices climbed by 12.2 percent year on year and were down 1.8 percent month on month.
 
In August, precious metal and semi products prices had increased by 47.4 percent compared to the same month last year and surged by 10.7 percent, as compared to the previous month.
