Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau Sidenor has been officially renamed Gerdau as of June 1. According to a company press release, this is the climax of the integration process started in 2006 aimed at creating one single and global entity.

Porto Alegre, Brazil-based Gerdau is a major player in North and South America in the long steel market.
