Finland’s Ruukki to supply steel for new cement plant in Lithuania

Finland based plantmaker Ruukki has signed a €5.9 million contract with Panevezio Statybos Trestas, one of the biggest construction companies in Lithuania, to manufacture and install the steel structures for the new cement plant of Lithuania's only cement manufacturer Akmenes Cementas.
 
According to the company statement, Ruukki will deliver 4,100 mt of steel structures for 16 different buildings in total at the plant site. Installation work will begin in October 2011 and the new plant is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2012. The steel structures will be manufactured at Ruukki's plants in Gargzdai, Lithuania and in Bolintin Deal, Romania.
