Finished steel inventory in China decreases during April

As of April 28 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 13.44 million mt, down 1.99 million mt or 12.9 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of the given date, domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 1.99 million mt, 1.77 million mt, 1.13 million mt, 2.39 million mt and 6.18 million mt, respectively decreasing by 4.5 percent, 4.2 percent, 8.1 percent, 20.9 percent and 14.9 percent month on month.
