In April this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 8.3188 million mt, down 1.1406 million mt or 12.1 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
In particular, in April this year domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 1.4423 million mt, 1.338 million mt, 923,300 mt, 915,100 mt and 3.7001 million mt, indicating respective decreases of 10.83 percent, 8.89 percent, 6.24 percent, 18.41 percent and 13.29 percent month on month.
