Final results of AD review on certain WR from Canada
Upon requests of the petitioners -ISG Georgetown Inc, Gerdau Ameristeel US Inc, Keystone Consolidated Industries Inc, and North Star Steel Texas Inc- and the respondents -Ivaco and Ispat Sidbec- the US Department of Commerce (DOC), on November 19, 2004, initiated an administrative review of an antidumping duty order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod imported from Canada. The review covered the period October 1, 2003, through September 30, 2004. The DOC preliminarily determined that sales of subject merchandise by Ivaco Inc and Ivaco Rolling Mills (IRM) (collectively Ivaco) and Ispat Sidbec Inc (Ispat) (now known as Mittal Canada Inc. (Mittal)) have been made below normal value. In the preliminary results, the weighted-average dumping margins for Ivaco and Ispat (Mittal) were 2.96 percent and 6.27 percent, respectively. Based on the comments received, the DOC decided to make changes in the preliminary results. Accordingly, the final results differ from the preliminary results. The following weighted-average dumping margins exist for the period October 1, 2003, through September 30, 2004:Producer/exporter Margin Ivaco......................................3.08% Mittal.....................................6.13%
