Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet output up 1.6 percent in 2018

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the fourth quarter of 2018 its overall iron ore pellet production increased by 7.2 percent quarter on quarter to 2.9 million mt. Ferrexpo used third-party materials in 86,500 mt of its overall production during the given quarter.

In 2018, Ferrexpo's iron ore pellet production amounted to 10.6 million mt, up by 1.6 percent year on year. In the year in question, the company's pellet production from its own raw materials increased by 1.1 percent to 10.5 million mt, while its pellet production from third-party concentrate rose by 103.8 percent to 101,000 mt, both compared to 2017.
