Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet output up 1.3 percent in Jan-Sept

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the third quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production increased by six percent quarter on quarter to 2.66 million mt. Ferrexpo made the overall pellet production using its own raw materials in the third quarter of this year.

During the January-September period of the current year, Ferrexpo's iron ore pellet production amounted to 7.75 million mt, up by 1.3 percent year on year. The company's pellet production from its own raw materials increased by 1.4 percent to 7.74 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate declined by 32.7 percent to 14,500 mt, both compared to the same period of 2017.
