Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the third quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production decreased by 1.7 percent quarter on quarter to 2.49 million mt.
Meanwhile, in the first nine months of the current year, Ferrexpo's overall iron ore pellet production declined by 8.1 percent year on year to 7.65 million mt. In the given period, the company’s pellet production from its own raw materials totaled 7.63 million mt, down 8.1 percent, while its pellet production from third party concentrate decreased by 7.1 percent to 21,550 mt, both compared to the same period of 2016.
