Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet output down 9.8 percent in H1

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the second quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production decreased by 3.3 percent quarter on quarter to 2.53 million mt.
 
In the second quarter, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials decreased by 3.3 percent compared to the previous quarter, amounting to 2.52 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate stood at 10,000 mt, falling 14.1 percent compared to the first quarter of this year.

During the first six months of the current year, Ferrexpo's iron ore pellet production amounted to 5.16 million mt, down 9.8 percent year on year. The company's pellet production from its own raw materials decreased by 9.9 percent to 5.13 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate declined by 7.1 percent to 21,600 mt, both compared to the same period of 2016.
