Ferrexpo's iron ore pellet output down 7.4 percent in Q1 from Q4

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the first quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production decreased by 7.4 percent quarter on quarter to 2.58 million mt.

In the first quarter, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials decreased by seven percent compared to the previous quarter, amounting to 2.57 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate stood at 14,500 mt, falling 48.3 percent compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

Ferrexpo stated that in the second quarter of this year it will refurbish its pellet line No. 1 over approximately 65 days.
