Alexander Abramov, chairman of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, has said that the sale of its stake in Raspadskaya (40 percent), Russia's second largest coking coal producer, may be announced within three months. In March this year, Evraz confirmed its intention to sell its stake. Major Russian mining and steel company Mechel and one of the world’s largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies Severstal have shown an interest in purchasing Raspadskaya.
