The hot dip galvanized (HDG) import quotas for the automotive industry announced by the European Union in early February have already been exhausted in the first two weeks for countries other than China, Korea, India and Taiwan. There are separate quotas for HDG imports from these four countries.

For the HDG products under this category, the quotas are allocated quarterly, unlike most products which are usually allocated yearly quotas.
