In January-April this year, Russian pipe producer Engelssky Tube Works produced 44,700 mt of steel pipes, up 125.7 percent compared to the same period of last year.
In April alone, Engelssky Tube Works produced 11,900 mt of steel pipes compared to 6,300 mt in April 2010.
On the other hand, Engelssky Tube Works has started production of its new longitudinal electric-welded pipes with 133 mm diameter. These pipes can be used in pipelines of gas and water supply systems, as well as in some building structures.
During the first two months of production (April and May 2011), the company produced 807 mt of these pipes. In June it is expected to produce 500 mt with further plans to increase production of pipes with 133 mmm diameter up to 1,000 mt per month.
