Danieli receives final acceptance from Vallourec Deutschland for new cross rolling mill

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it has received the final acceptance certificate from France-based pipe manufacturer Vallourec’s subsidiary Vallourec Deutschland for the new three-roll cross rolling mill supplied to the  Rath site in Germany after just two months of performance testing.

Vallourec Deutschland’s chairman of the management board Dr. Ulrich Menne stated that with the investment in a new cross rolling mill in Düsseldorf-Rath, the company aims to specifically expand its product range in the direction of higher-quality premium materials with higher resistance to deformation in particular in regard to alloyed and high-alloy materials. In addition, the company also wants to expand its dimension range, too, in particular in regard to thin-walled pipes and pipe lengths the company wants to take a further step towards the new market requirements.
