Local Indian company Tata Projects will also contribute to the blast furnace project. The new steel plant will be located in the region of Chhattisgarh.

According to some market analysts, in the next three years Indian crude steel output will grow at a rapid rate to 130 million metric tons per year, from the current 72 million metric tons.
