CSN to purchase four Spanish steel companies

Brazilian flat-rolled steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) announced Thursday that it has signed an agreement to buy five companies for US$772 million from Spanish group Alfonso Gallardo.

The companies include Cementos Balboa, a cement company; two rebar plants-Corrugados Azepeita and Corrugados Lasao; structural profiles plant Stahlwerk Thuringene, and Gallardo Sections.
