Corus studies on a union plan

Market sources report that Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus is studying on ISTC union's plan for its two mills in UK, namely Teesside and Llanwern mills. In the framework of Corus' restructuring plans, located in northeast England Teesside mill will be a slab producer to supply its products for international markets. It means, the mill will not supply slabs to Corus. Whereas, details of the restructuring plan regarding Llanwern mill, located in south Wales, is not disclosed yet.
