Corus likely to increase prices of whole range of products

According to market reports, the Anglo-Dutch steel producer Corus is going to reflect the increased input costs to its products in the short term. Besides, these costs are on an upward trend and forecasted to reach higher levels with greater rates in 2004. In line with current market conditions, Corus is expected to increase section prices by €10/mt from the beginning of November, whereas strip prices are planned to be raised from January 1 onwards, with the increase rate to be disclosed soon. Additionally, it is believed that most units of Corus will increase delivery prices in the last quarter of 2003 as transport costs revealed a substantial surge on year on year basis.
