Consumer confidence in Mexico up 6.8 percent in July

The Consumer Confidence Index in Mexico rose 6.8 percent, year-over-year, in July. It was the eighth consecutive annual increase, according to SteelOrbis' analysis of data from national statistics agency Inegi.

In July, the Confidence Index was 46.4 points, 0.5 more than the previous month and 5.1 points more than July 2022.
 
The 50 point level marks the division between the zone of optimism (above 50) and the zone of pessimism (below 50 points). In more than two decades of the indicator's history in Mexico, the level of 50 points has never been reached.
