Coal producers in Shanxi see profits of RMB 23.367 billion in Jan-Oct

Coal producers in Shanxi, China’s biggest coal-producing province, recorded an overall profit of RMB 23.367 billion ($3.54 billion) in the January-October period of the current year, as stated by Wang Shouzhen, director of the Coal Association of Shanxi Province, during a speech at the opening ceremony of Coal Taiyuan Trade Fair.

Mr Wang also stated that in the January-October period Shanxi’s raw coal output amounted to 727 million mt, up 9.6 percent year on year, while adding that Shanxi Province has eliminated 27 coal mines with a total capacity of 22.65 million mt so far in 2017.
