Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has stated that it is planning to ship one million mt of large diameter (LD) pipes to customers in the current year, thanks to the current implementation of Russia's major oil and gas projects and, therefore, thanks to increased demand.

To produce this many pipes, ChTPZ has implemented a set of measures to enhance productivity at its Vysota 239 workshop by over 20 percent. In particular, new welding modes were developed, equipment was upgraded, and technologies were improved. ChTPZ's metallurgists are continuing to work on increasing the workshop's production capacity.
