Chongqing Steel’s old coking plant to be fully dismantled by next March

According to Chinese steel producer Chongqing Iron and Steel Group (Chongqing Steel), at present one-fifth of its old coking plant has been dismantled, with the dismantling work expected to be completed in March next year.
 
The main equipment has already been removed from the old coking plant which had an annual output capacity of 1.75 million mt and mainly provided metallurgical coking coal for the steelmaking plant in Chongqing Steel's old factory.
 
In October 2011, the coke output at Chongqing Steel's new facilities totaled 188,000 mt.
