In May this year Chinese metallurgical coke output reached 38.47 million mt, up 4.99 percent compared with 36.64 million mt in May 2011, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first five months of the current year, aggregate coke production in China came to 183.28 million mt, rising by 6.4 percent year on year.
