China’s steel sheet and plate exports up 35.1 percent in January-May

China’s steel sheet/plate exports totaled 23.56 million mt in the January-May period of the current year, up 35.1 percent year on year, according to the Chinese customs authorities.

In May alone, China exported 5.47 million mt of steel sheet/plate, up 0.7 percent year on year, while rising by 3.8 percent month on month.
