China’s steel scrap exports slump by 99.3 percent in H1

In the January-June period this year, China exported 2,267 mt of steel scrap, down 99.3 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

Meanwhile, China imported 160,000 mt of scrap in the given period, down 81.9 percent year on year.
