China’s scrap imports down 3.1 percent in May

In May this year, China imported 220,000 mt of scrap, down 3.1 percent year on year, according to monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. In the first five months of the year, China imported 1.07 million mt of scrap, increasing by 5.0 percent year on year.
