China’s scrap imports down 26.8 percent in August

In August this year, China’s imports of steel scrap amounted to 150,000 mt, decreasing by 26.8 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-August period this year, China’s imports of scrap totaled 1.59 million mt, down 9.3 percent year on year.
