China’s scrap imports down 31.6 percent in July

In July this year, China’s imports of steel scrap amounted to 170,000 mt, decreasing by 31.6 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-July period this year, China’s imports of scrap totaled 1.44 million mt, down 7.0 percent year on year.
