China’s crude steel output down 2.2 percent in January-October

In October this year, China’s pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs amounted to 56.31 million mt, 66.12 million mt and 94.27 million mt, indicating respective year-on-year decreases of 4.4 percent, 3.1 percent and 0.2 percent, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-October period of the current year, China’s pig iron, crude steel and finished steel outputs totaled 584.72 million mt, 675.10 million mt and 934.30 million mt, down 3.3 percent, decreasing by 2.2 percent and rising by 1.0 percent year on year, respectively.
