China's coal imports increase by 4.3 percent in January-July 2026

In the January-July period this year, China's coal imports (all types) totaled 268.109 million mt, up 4.3 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In July alone, China's coal imports amounted to 42.728 million mt, down 0.12 percent month on month, while up 20.0 percent year on year.
