China’s average daily crude steel output in August falls from July level

According to the latest data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China's crude steel output reached 58.752 million mt in August this year, increasing by 13.8 percent year on year. However, China's average daily output of crude steel in August of 1.8952 million mt was the lowest so far in the current year, down 18,000 mt as compared to the average daily crude steel output figure for July.
 
Meanwhile, in the first eight months of the current year, China's crude steel output totaled 469.283 million mt, increasing by 10.6 percent year on year.
 
In August, China's pig iron and finished steel outputs amounted to 53.92 million mt and 77 million mt, increasing by 13 percent and 12.9 percent year on year respectively
