Queensland-based Australian miner Cerro Resources NL has announced the initial inferred mineral resource for its 100 percent-owned Mt Philp haematite iron prospect located in Queensland, Australia.

Accordingly, the results include 25.4 million mt of 36.6 percent iron ore grade and 12.1 million mt of 47.6 percent iron ore grade. The company stated that drilling continues with the aim of defining an inferred resource over the total strike length.

In addition to its Mount Isa iron ore activities, Cerro has interests in two projects in Mexico, the Cerro dal Gallo gold-silver project, currently in development, and the Namiquipa silver exploration project.
