Bursa-based Turkish steelmaker Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S (Cemtas) has announced that it has completed the installation of its new continuous heat treatment furnace and has started hot-testing of the new equipment. Cemtas plans to start operations at the new continuous heat treatment furnace by the end of the fourth quarter of the current year.

In addition, in February this year, the company also started operations at its new bulk heat treatment furnace, constructed as part of the same investment program.

The furnaces were supplied by Danieli Centro Combustion, the subsidiary of Italian plantmaker Danieli. The contract for the new equipment and the modernization of the company’s existing heating furnace was signed on November 26, 2015, with a value of €5.3 billion.
