On August 7, 2008 the Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) issued its decision regarding the expiry review into imports of structural tubing originating in or exported from South Korea, the Republic of South Africa, and the Republic of Turkey. The CBSA has determined that expiry of the original findings is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the goods from the countries in question.

Meanwhile, on April 9, 2008, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its findings made on December 23, 2003 concerning the subject products exported from South Korea, South Africa and Turkey.

The CITT will conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of the findings is likely to result in injury or retardation to the Canadian industry, and will make its decision on the case by December 22, 2008.
