ThyssenKrupp Steel USA Wednesday indicated that Canadian-based Lakeside Steel has indicated possible interest in a potential relocation from their Welland, Ontario location to ThyssenKrupp's Mobile-Alabama steel complex.

Lakeside is considering sites in both Clark County and Mobile County, citing belief that a move could help expand their business in the southeast US. Lakeside makes steel pipe for oil and gas industries, among others.
