Brazil's motor vehicle output in June this year decreased by 12.5 percent from the previous month and fell by 14.8 percent year on year to 184,015 units (excluding agricultural vehicles), according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea).
Meanwhile, in the first half of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased 18.5 percent year on year to 1,276,638 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 212,524 units in June this year, down 0.1 percent compared to May and decreasing by 19.4 percent year on year. 15.5 percent of this figure consisted of imported new vehicles. In the first half of the current year, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 20.7 percent year on year to 1,318,949 units.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in June this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 48,068 units, increasing by 17.9 percent compared to the previous month and up 96.8 percent year on year. In the January-June period this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 197,348 units, up 16.6 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in June the revenue generated by Brazilian motor vehicle exports (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 22.1 percent month on month to $876.08 million, increasing by 39.5 percent year on year. In the first half of the current year, in Brazil the revenue generated by motor vehicle exports (excluding agricultural vehicles) increased by 3.9 percent year on year to $4.64 billion.
