Brazil’s steel tube sales to increase in 2006

Brazilian industry association Abitam disclosed that the country's steel tube industry is expected to post record sales of $3.5 billion to $3.7 billion in 2006. Brazil's steel tube production is forecasted to increase 8-10 percent year on year in 2006. Several projects and tender offers will contribute to Brazil's steel tube sales. In 2005, Brazil's steel tube production amounted to 1.8 million metric tons and revenues reached around $3 billion.
