Böhler-Uddeholm is planning to acquire a new mill

According to recent market news, Austrian specialty steel group Böhler-Uddeholm has recently revealed that it plans to acquire a new mill in order to increase sales of the company by 10%. The name of mill is not revealed, however a company official stated that the mill is outside Europe. In the first nine months of 2003, Böhler reported net profit of €37.2 million with an increase by 19% and turnover of €1.13 billion with an increase by 4% when compared to the figures recorded in the same period of 2002. Moreover, the company increased its sales in the first half of 2003 through Böhler Thyssen Schweisstechnik, which is a 50/50 joint venture with ThyssenKrupp.
