On July 10, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Steel Group Corporation (Bengang Group) announced that a batch of DN700 PU anti-corrosion cast iron pipes produced by its subsidiary Beiying Iron and Steel Co. has been delivered to a key engineering construction site in Guangdong Province belonging to Sinopec Huizhou, a subsidiary of Sinopec.

This is the first time that Bengang’s PU anti-corrosion cast iron pipes have been supplied to the Chinese domestic petrochemical industry. The pipes in question have higher resistance to acid and alkali corrosion than normal pipes and can be used for more than 50 years in acid and alkali environments.
