Belgo-Mineira to become Arcelor Brasil soon

Brazil-based Belgo-Mineira will reportedly become Arcelor Brasil on December 21, 2005. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Arcelor's plan to consolidate its Brazilian assets into one company called Arcelor Brasil also covers Companhia Siderurgica de Tubarάo (CST) and Vega do Sul. Belgo-Mineira shareholders will officially change the company name to Arcelor Brasil on December 21, 2005. Shareholders also will decide how to transfer shares from the old company to Arcelor Brasil.
