Beiman Special Steel targets further output increases in 2014

Wang Wei, the general manager of Heilongjiang Province-based Chinese steelmaker Beiman Special Steel Co., has announced that in 2013 the company’s pig iron output amounted to 681,000 mt, up 7.5 percent, its crude steel production totaled 750,000 mt, up 2.3 percent, while its finished steel output reached 670,000 mt, rising by 4.4 percent, all year on year.
 
Mr. Wang also stated that in 2014 Beiman Special Steel plans to produce 1.1 million mt of pig iron, 975,000 mt of crude steel and 896,000 mt of finished steel.
