Bayi Steel achieves sales revenue of RMB 25.5 billion in Jan-Oct

In the first 10 months of this year, Xinjiang region-based Chinese steel producer Bayi Iron and Steel’s sales revenue amounted to RMB 25.5 billion ($4.08 billion), with a net profit of almost RMB 100 million ($16 million).
 
In January-October of the current year, the total pig iron output of Bayi Steel was 5.9357 million mt, up 20.67 percent, its crude steel output was 6.3016 million mt, increasing by 12.33 percent, while its finished steel production totaled 6.0498 million mt, up 12.84 percent, all year on year. While Bayi Steel last year commissioned its 2,500 cubic meter blast furnace No. 3, in the current year it has commissioned a new 150 mt converter.
