Baosteel upgrades water treatment control system at hot rolling plant

Chinese steel giant Baosteel has announced that it has completed the upgrading of the automated water treatment control system at its 1,580 mm hot rolling plant ahead of schedule.
 
The upgrade involved replacing the previous Siemens S5 automated control system by the Siemens S7 system. The work was completed following seven days of installation and a trial run.
