Guangdong officials to support construction of flat steel product line in Nansha

On August 4, government officials of the southern Chinese province of Guangdong and of the provincial capital Guangzhou held talks with Xu Jiangle, chairman of Shanghai-based Chinese steel giant Baosteel.
 
The Guangdong officials said they have decided to approve the participation of Baosteel in the restructuring of local steelmaker Guangzhou Iron and Steel. Accordingly, the Guangdong officials will lend their support to the Zhenjiang project of Guangzhou Steel and will support the construction of the second flat steel production line of Guangzhou Steel in the Nansha region.
